FX TERMINAL
A trading challenge gives every entrant an identical paper account — same starting balance, same leverage, same instruments, same risk rules — and ranks them on what they actually do with it. Leaderboards update live as positions move, scoring return alongside maximum drawdown, win rate, profit factor and consistency, so the winner is the best trader rather than the one who took the biggest gamble. Free to enter, no deposit, no broker.
Entering a challenge creates a brand-new paper trading account for you with exactly the same starting balance, leverage, tradeable instruments, commission, spread model and risk limits as every other entrant. Those rules are copied onto your account at the moment you join, so a later edit to the challenge cannot move the goalposts underneath you.
Trading is fully simulated against live market prices through FX Terminal's own execution engine. No deposit, no broker, no fee.
Return is the headline, but a leaderboard that ranks on return alone is a leaderboard that rewards the biggest gamble. Every entrant's row also carries maximum drawdown, win rate, profit factor, consistency and the number of days actually traded.
Consistency is the prop-firm measure: the share of your profit that did not come from a single trade. A trader whose entire result is one lucky position scores near zero; a trader with fifty similar wins scores near one. Challenges can rank on return, on final equity, or on a composite score that weighs return against the risk taken to get it.
A challenge can set a maximum daily loss, a maximum drawdown measured either from the starting balance or trailing from peak equity, and a profit target. These are not scored at the end — the risk engine evaluates them on every price tick.
Breach one and the account is frozen immediately, its positions are liquidated, and the entry is disqualified with the reason recorded. That is deliberately unforgiving: a rule that can be broken and then traded back out of is not a rule.
